In-ear buds press into the ear canal and can start to ache by mid-afternoon. The Lightly Secure Open Ear Clip Earbuds clip onto the outside of your ear instead, leaving the canal open, and pair two 13 mm, 0.51 inch dynamic drivers with a charging case that shows your exact battery percentage.
Room to Breathe
Hours of calls often mean an ache inside the ear. With the Lightly Secure Open Ear Clip Earbuds, that pressure point drops out, because nothing goes inside the ear canal. Each earbud is a clip that hooks over the outer edge of your ear, with the speaker resting just outside the canal opening. The clip holds by wrapping around the outer ear rather than by wedging a tip into the canal, so there is no silicone plug to push in or keep reseating. That matters most when you wear audio for long stretches: a full workday of meetings, a long commute, a podcast queue that runs into the evening. It also leaves the canal open to the room, so a colleague’s question or a passing car still reaches you. You keep your music and your surroundings at the same time.
Sound With Body
Open-ear audio depends on its drivers. Inside each of the Lightly Secure Open Ear Clip Earbuds sits a 13 mm, 0.51 inch dynamic driver, a moving diaphragm large enough to push air with real weight behind it, which is what gives bass lines and voices their body. The pair covers a frequency response of 20 to 20,000 Hz, the span of typical human hearing. A sensitivity rating of 97 dB means the drivers turn modest power into usable volume, so you rarely need to push the level to the top. That counts on a quiet train, at your desk with the volume down, or on an evening walk where you want music sitting under the street noise rather than over it. Your playlist sounds like itself, at the volume you choose.
No More Guesswork
There is a number on the case, and it is the one you need. The charging case of the Lightly Secure Open Ear Clip Earbuds carries an LED digital display that shows remaining battery as a percentage, so you read the charge at a glance instead of decoding blinking lights. When it runs low, a USB-C port takes a standard cable, and a full charge takes about 2 hours. Plug it in beside your laptop over lunch and it is ready again for the afternoon. The case also stores the earbuds between sessions and recharges them while they sit inside, which is how you stretch listening across a day of short bursts. Before a flight or a long shift, one look tells you whether to top up. You leave the house knowing exactly where you stand.
Heard Clearly
Calls are where cheap earbuds give themselves away. The Lightly Secure Open Ear Clip Earbuds use ENC, environmental noise cancellation, on the call microphone: the processing separates the sound of your voice from the steadier background around it and works to reduce that background before the signal reaches the person on the other end. It acts on what you send, not on what you hear, so the open fit stays open. This is meant for a working day spent in busy places: a call taken in a café, a quick check-in from the sidewalk, a meeting joined from a kitchen with the dishwasher running. Your voice stays at the front while the clatter drops back. The person you are talking to hears you rather than the room.
Lift and Listen
Getting started takes one motion. Lift the earbuds out of the case and the Lightly Secure Open Ear Clip Earbuds pair automatically with your device, with no menu to open and no button to hold down. The connection runs on Bluetooth 6.0 and works with phones, tablets and laptops that support Bluetooth audio. Once they are on, simple taps on the touch-sensitive surface of each earbud manage music and calls, and you can call up your phone’s voice assistant without reaching for the screen. That helps when your hands are busy: carrying groceries up the stairs, typing through a meeting, or holding a rail on a crowded bus. Your music starts the moment you are ready for it.
